SAAB Owners Club – North West Branch

Join us on 24 November for a tour of the acoustics labs at Salford University. We will visit the reverberation room and the anechoic chamber, and experience some acoustics demonstrations. The tour will take about one hour starting at 7:30. High heel shoes should not be worn as the anechoic chamber has a bouncy wire floor.

The map below shows the location (the labs are marked in red by salford crescent t-station).  It is the 3rd exit off the roundabout after the train station and it is slightly hidden because it will not be well lit at night time, it looks more like a goods entrance (which is what it is!).

This annual BBQ takes place at our hosts house Tom and Margarets in Northenden, bring your own drinks, all food provided which includes steak, chicken, burgers etc and various salads. All welcome including non members, event subsidised out of branch funds but £3.00 contribution requested.

The Marble Arch is a famous old Inn on Rochdale Road, (close to the CIS building) which also brews Marble ales, the building itself is interesting as its interior is very victorian being more or less completely tiled with a sloping floor, well worth a visit.
