Howard Town brewery is based in Glossop and run by Tony Hulme (saab owners club member) Rowena Curley, and Janet and Les Dove,

Production at the brewery has achieved a record in September, selling 10,000 pints in a month despite a major fire earlier this year which completely destroyed the previous building.

They have moved to new premises in Old Glossop, whilst production was disrupted they had beer brewed on their behalf in Scotland and shipped to Glossop, this is as well as having beer brewed by themselves at a plant near Derby

The brewery was represented at the Sheffield beer festival and won the best bitter category last month, the brewery takes pride in naming its brews after local landmarks, including Wrens Nest, Bleaklow, Dinting Arches, and Glotts Hop.

They can all be sampled at The Star, The old Gloveworks, The Globe, and often at Windy Harbour (location of The Peaks and Dales SAAB run)

The SAAB OWNERS CLUB visit was attended by 23 people who had a great time sampling the beer and finished with a homemade hot pot supper at the brewery, we all wish to thank them for their hospitality.

I am sure it wont be long before we visit again.
